The Geneva Public Works Department responded to an electric outage at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 9 after a car struck an electric pole.

The outage impacted two customers in the 1600 block of Crissey Avenue on the east side of Geneva.

The Public Works Electric Division replaced the damaged electric pole and restored service by 10:30 p.m.

As a reminder, residents should report outages after hours and on weekends to the Geneva Police Department non-emergency number at 630-232-4736. Police will then dispatch the on-call Public Works personnel. The City does not monitor social media channels and the online request system 24 hours a day.
