The City of Geneva is working on two water infrastructure projects along the Route 25 corridor (North Bennett Street). The primary project involves installing a new water main on the state highway from State (Route 38) to Jefferson streets. The secondary work consists of replacing an existing water main crossing at Route 25 and Division street. Construction began in October and is expected to be finished in December.
Oct. 27 Update
The Division Street project has been substantially completed. The barricades have been relocated after the trench across Route 25 was paved with a temporary surface. While the overall Route 25 detour remains in place, local traffic can cross the intersection.
Due to inclement weather, several punch list items remain to be finished at Division Street including pavement marking, pavement patching, seal coating, and parkway restoration.
Construction operations have now shifted south toward State and Jefferson streets.
