With an increase in scammers targeting senior citizens, the Geneva Police Department hosted an educational seminar to help families protect themselves against financial fraud.
The presentation, which was moderated by Geneva Police Senior Care Officers Tony Duncan and Kaley Smith, was held April 23 at the Geneva Public Library. The event video is available to watch on the City of Geneva YouTube channel.
The seminar focused on financial scam prevention, education and warning signs. The event was geared toward seniors; however, the educational tools are important for people of all ages.
Residents who have questions about scams can call the Geneva Police Department at 630-232-4736.
