More than 100 residents experienced a short power disruption May 9 on the west side of Geneva.

Geneva Public Works crews working in the area made an advertent switching error around 10:22 a.m. The error impacted customers in an area within Sterling Avenue, Conant Court and Spruce Court to the north; Patten and Wood avenues to the east; and Stonewood Glen, Coventry Court, Fargo Boulevard, Blackman Road, and Shoop Drive to the south.

After the error was discovered, Public Works quickly responded to restore service to all 115 customers within 11 minutes. The City apologizes for the inconvenience.
