Ninety customers experienced a short power outage June 25 on the east side of Geneva.

A Geneva Business Park industrial company was performing electric work on their building when they inadvertently caused a power surge to the City electric system at 3:44 p.m. The service disruption impacted customers in the Kirkwood subdivision, Averill Arbors subdivision and the Geneva Business Park.

The Geneva Public Works Department switched customers to another substation to restore service at 4 p.m.
