The Geneva Public Works Department responded to a power outage July 24 on the west side of Geneva.
The incident occurred at 10:14 a.m. due to an underground cable fault. More than 50 customers in an area including Stonewood Glen Drive to the west, Wood Avenue to the east, and south along Shoop Drive and Herrington Road lost service.
Public Works isolated the faulted section of cable and transferred power to energized transformers to restore service. About 64% of the outage area was brought back online by 11:10 a.m. while the remaining 17 customers had power by 12:22 p.m.
