The Geneva Public Works Department responded to a power outage Oct. 29 in the Eagle Brook subdivision and surrounding area.

The power failure occurred at 7:34 a.m. due to a faulty underground cable. Public Works said 643 customers in Eagle Brook south to Fabyan Parkway, east along Western Avenue, and west to Viking Drive lost service.

City crews were able to isolate the section of faulted cable and re-energized the line to bring customers back in stages, with 76% of the impacted area being restored by 8:18 a.m. The remaining customers had service restored between 8:42 a.m. to 9:32 a.m.
