Geneva owns and operates its own electric utility, and we take great pride in providing reliable electric service to our residents and businesses. However, like all utilities, we are susceptible to outages caused by bad weather, animals, equipment issues and more. This blog is designed to provide updates on what caused outages after service has been restored. Large-scale incidents will be posted in real-time on the City's Alert Center on our website homepage. [ARCHIVED] Geneva Hosts First Artists Road Rally

The original item was published from December 4, 2025 4:01 PM to December 4, 2025 4:07 PM

It all started with an idea — a passion for creativity, a love for art, and a desire to bring artists together. On Nov. 30, Geneva hosted its inaugural Artists Sunday Road Rally, giving locals and visitors the chance to explore eight unique locations, meet talented artists, and experience creativity in motion throughout our community.

In honor of the national Artists Sunday movement, Patty of Studio Patty D gathered several Geneva business owners and artists to bring the Road Rally to life. Two weeks ago, the Geneva City Council approved a proclamation officially declaring Nov. 30 as Artists Sunday in Geneva.

This community-driven event was supported by the City's Destination Geneva Grant, helping ensure a memorable day for everyone who participated. Patty hosted a lively after-party at Studio Patty D, complete with a Facebook Live raffle drawing featuring incredible prizes donated by the artists themselves. The Winding Deer Path joined Studio Patty D in selecting several of the lucky winners. The more stops guests made, the more chances they had to win - from original art pieces to wearable creations crafted with heart.

Thank you to everyone who supported Geneva’s first Artists Sunday Road Rally. Here’s to celebrating creativity, community, and the artists who make our City shine.

The 8 locations on the Artists Sunday Road Rally were: Art by Emelia, Geneva Public Library, Children's Art Classes, Evoke Salon Gallery, Midwest Nice Shop, Tinker Belz Art, The Winding Deer Path, and Studio Patty D.

Be sure to give these artists listed above a follow on social media so you can stay connected with them, support future collaborations, and see all their latest creative happenings.
