[ARCHIVED] Winter Operations Update - Feb. 1

The National Weather Service has canceled the Winter Storm Warning for Kane County that was set to expire at 6 p.m. However, light snow still is expected throughout the day, and residents should keep their parked cars off the streets.

Small plow trucks have made one pass in each direction on residential streets to make them more drivable. Crews are now working on the cul-de-sacs. With snow still falling, Public Works is keeping an eye on maintaining clear thoroughfares when necessary and working on cul-de-sacs and other areas downtown.

While the worst of the storm appears to have past, crews are expected to continue working into the evening. Please make sure to give plows plenty of room to operate.
