[ARCHIVED] Public Works Collecting Stormwater Data On Residential Properties

Public Works News

In order to complete the City's stormwater utility network GPS data collection, Geneva Public Works Department personnel will need to enter some residential yards the week of Oct. 28 to finish the project.

Public Works has located more than 85% of storm structures that are easily accessible, but more than 300 residential properties with fenced-in yards throughout Geneva remain unchecked.

The Public Works employee, who will be wearing a City of Geneva shirt and have a City ID card, will enter yards to collect the GPS location of a storm structure as well as confirming other stormwater data. There will be no digging or construction activities related to this effort. The City employee will enter the property, gather the necessary information and leave within a few minutes.

The GPS data collection will start Monday, Oct. 28 and be finished by Friday, Nov. 1, weather permitting.

For more information, residents can call the Geneva Public Works Department at 630-232-1501.
