Want to make a difference in your community but not sure where to start? The City of Geneva is looking for a dedicated high school student volunteer to fill a vacancy on its Strategic Plan Advisory Committee.

The Strategic Plan Advisory Committee is charged with prioritizing community goals outlined in the City’s strategic plan, encouraging citizen input and assisting with goal implementation. Meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. Eligible students should be either a sophomore or junior in high school.

Residents interested in serving should submit an application along with a letter of interest to the Strategic Plan Advisory Committee, Geneva City Hall, 22 S. First St., Geneva, IL 60134. The application deadline is Monday, Nov. 20.

Candidates must be residents living within the City's corporate boundary limits (see the City's Ward Map).

The committee will review applications and conduct interviews before making a selection this fall.
