[ARCHIVED] Natural Resources Committee Invites Public To Native Plants Presentation

Geneva Natural Resources Committee Chair Jay Womack

With spring around the corner, the City of Geneva’s Natural Resources Committee is sponsoring a presentation about native plants, pollinators, and the care they need to survive and thrive in residential yards.

“Understanding and Using Native Plants in the Home Landscape” takes place from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at the Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh St. The event is free and open to the public.

Natural Resources Committee Chair Jay Womack will serve as the guest speaker. For the past two decades, Womack’s experience as a landscape architect and ecologist has helped him understand native plants, their growing habits, which plants work best, and why they should be used in residential landscape plans.

People interested in attending the presentation can register online with the Geneva Public Library.
