Geneva Police officers will be present at Geneva's Dunkin’ store to collect donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s 21st annual Cop On a Rooftop event Friday, May 17. Money raised benefits Special Olympics Illinois.
From 5 to noon a.m. May 17, officers will be stationed at Dunkin, 206 E. State St. Mugs, shirts, hats, pins and Harley Davidson raffle tickets will be sold, and all patrons who donate will receive a free doughnut coupon. Guests donating at least $10 will earn a travel mug, while supplies last, and a coupon for a free medium hot or iced coffee.
For those unable to attend but would still like to donate to the cause can do so online by visiting the Cop On A Rooftop website. When filling out the information, people can select the "Geneva Police Department" from the LETR (Law Enforcement Torch Run) dropdown menu.
The Cop on a Rooftop event is one of several fundraising platforms for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is a collaborative effort from police departments across the nation to raise money for Special Olympics.
