After rescuing baby ducks twice earlier this year, Geneva Police are hoping to make a different kind of splash at Chicago's Duck Derby Wednesday, Aug. 7.

The public can purchase rubber ducks that will splash down in the Chicago River, and winners of the race are eligible for several great prizes. The best part is money raised from the duck purchases will benefit Special Olympics Illinois. Geneva residents interested in supporting this cause can purchase their ducks from the Geneva Police Department Duck Derby web page.

The Duck Derby event is one of several fundraising platforms for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is a collaborative effort from police departments across the nation to raise money for Special Olympics.
