[ARCHIVED] Geneva Police Make Arrest In Prostitution Operation

Geneva Police detectives arrested a woman Sept. 11 to conclude an investigation into prostitution activity at Yuanyuan Spa, 410 E. State St.

The investigation was initiated following community reports of illicit activity at the business.

Liu Lin, 43, of the 2600 block of South Wentworth Street, Chicago was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of prostitution, a Class A misdemeanor;

Liu was transported to the Geneva Police Department for arrest processing and released with notice of an initial court date on Tuesday, Nov 19. Liu is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Geneva Police were assisted by investigators with the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Geneva Police detectives and State investigators visited an additional massage business to verify proper licensing. The Geneva Police Department thanks the community for reporting suspicious behavior to help keep the City safe.
