The City of Geneva’s Natural Resources Committee will be diving into the environmental history of the Fabyan Villa and Japanese Garden during its next lecture series presentation Saturday, March 29
The “Secrets of the Fabyan Estate” event takes place from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh St. The event is free and open to the public.
Patrons can learn about the Geneva estate of millionaire Colonel George Fabyan. Vivien Lasken, director of the Fabyan Museum and Japanese Garden, will lead the presentation about how the garden was established, the issues the property is facing, eco-friendly site improvements, and how the environment impacts museum artifacts.
