A section of Route 31 will be limited to one lane April 16 and Thursday, April 17 in Geneva due to a residential water service replacement project.

Beginning at 9 a.m. April 16, Geneva Public Works crews will be performing utility work at 312 N. First St. (Route 31) in preparation for the full service replacement April 17.

Route 31 will be reduced to one lane in both directions from Stevens to Ford streets. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic.

Construction will take place for a few hours April 16 before the roadway is reopened mid-morning. The lane closure will then resume at 8 a.m. April 17 with work expected to be completed before the evening rush hour.
