A water service replacement scheduled for Tuesday, June 24 will close two lanes of traffic on State Street (Route 38) from Anderson Boulevard to McKinley Avenue.

The lane closures will begin at 8 a.m. with traffic limited to one lane in each direction. The interior westbound lane and curbside eastbound lane will be closed to allow crews to access the water main in the middle of the street and the home at 902 W. State St.

Motorists should expect traffic delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes. Drivers traveling through the work zone should slow down and be mindful of construction workers on the street.

The project is expected to be completed before the evening rush hour.
