Residents will have an opportunity to weigh in on U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) plans to construct and operate a Long Baseline Neutrino Facility and Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment at Fermilab.
The DOE’s draft assessment of the plan analyzes the potential environmental impact of the project, which will run from Batavia to South Dakota. The full report can be viewed at the link below.
The comment period will be from June 8 to July 10. The DOE will hold a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. June 24 at Fermilab’s Wilson Hall to present results of the analysis and obtain resident feedback.
