The Kane County Division of Transportation will be removing and replacing Randall Road traffic signal mast arms and equipment at four Geneva intersections during August.
Weather permitting, construction work hours will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following Randall Road intersections during the weeks of:
• Aug. 3 – Gleneagle Drive
• Aug. 10 – Christina Drive
• Aug. 17 – Fargo Boulevard
• Aug. 24 – Keslinger Road
The project scope will entail:
• Changing mast arms at certain locations in the intersection,
• Updating back plates on all signal heads,
• Modifying signal heads to allow for flashing yellow turning movements, and
• Temporary four-way stop and flashing signals at the intersection during signal modification work.
Temporary daily lane closures Monday through Saturday will be required to accomplish this work. Please watch for four-way stop intersections, flashing red signals and construction crews as well as reducing speed while traveling through construction zones. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes since the project is anticipated to cause delays.
Questions and concerns should be directed to the Kane County Division of Transportation’s John Guddendorf at 630-816-9671.
