[ARCHIVED] City Flag Lowered In Memory Of Geneva Resident Don Forni

The City of Geneva has lowered the City flag to half-staff at all of its buildings to honor the life of Don Forni, who passed away Aug. 21.

Mayor Kevin Burns said Mr. Forni was a longtime Geneva resident, a Park District employee and “a friend of all things Geneva.”

Forni, 76, worked for the Geneva Park District for 38 years and had a park named after him. He also was a member of the Geneva Lions Club.

You can read more about Mr. Forni’s community contributions in the Kane County Chronicle at the link below. The Geneva City Council will hold a moment of silence to remember Mr. Forni prior to its Aug. 24 meeting. The City extends its condolences to the Forni family.
