[ARCHIVED] City Flag Lowered In Memory Of Hunter Shodeen

The Geneva City flag outside City Hall has been lowered to half-staff in memory of Hunter Shodeen, 26, who passed away Sept. 10.

After graduating Geneva High School (2008) and Northern Illinois University (2013), he began his career in Washington, D.C. as the Scandinavian affairs liaison in Congressman Randy Hultgren's Office. He most recently worked as a legislative liaison for the Illinois Commerce Commission. You can find more obituary information in the link below.

The City would like to express its sympathies to the Shodeen family on their loss. The flag will remain at half-staff until evening Monday, Sept. 19, according to Mayor Kevin Burns.
