[ARCHIVED] Geneva Flag Lowered For Former Longtime Public Works Employee

City Hall Flag Lowered

The Geneva flag at City Hall has been lowered in memory of the City's former Downtown Business District Crew Leader Tim Carey, who passed away at age 63 on Feb. 11.

Mr. Carey worked for the City for more than 25 years before retiring in 2016.

Service information and more background about Mr. Carey's life can be found in the online obituary. A moment of silence was held before the Feb. 12 Committee of the Whole meeting in his memory.

The Geneva flag will remain at  half-staff through Friday, Feb. 16. The City would like to express its condolences to the Carey family members for their loss.
