[ARCHIVED] City Scheduling To Plant Parkway Trees In Mid-May

Tree Planting

The Geneva Public Works Department is planning to start planting 60 new parkway trees in various locations throughout the City the week of May 16, weather permitting.

Trees typically are planted in April, but the cold start to spring pushed back the project.

Geneva was named a "Tree City USA" for the 18th consecutive year by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management.

People interested in a new parkway tree can visit the City's website to learn more about our cost-sharing program.

For more information, call the Public Works Department Street Division at 630-232-1501.
