[ARCHIVED] Registration Open For Swedish Days Events

Swedish Days Carnival

The Geneva Chamber of Commerce announced open registration for three Swedish Days events that tickets/registration will be required to attend.

The annual Swedish Days 5K Lopp will commence at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 26. This spirited Scandinavian race encourages runners to show their Swedish pride by dressing in their best blue and yellow gear. Register on the Chamber's website by Thursday, June 10 to guarantee a T-shirt at packet pick-up.

Live music is back at 1 p.m. June 26 with Swedish Days Dala-Palooza. The Chamber, assisted by Kane County Cougars, welcomes ARRA and Trippin’ Billies to Northwestern Medicine Field in Geneva. Elise Flagg Dance Studio and Lisa Thomen are also scheduled to perform. Drinks and food will be available to purchase. No outside drink or food may be brought into the stadium. With concerts being held in the stadium's music garden, patrons should bring their own seats and blankets to enjoy a day of entertainment. Ticket purchasing ($15 per ticket) is being done through the Kane County Cougars ticketing system. Parking will be $5 per vehicle (cash only) that day.

End Swedish Days on Sunday, June 27 with the new Choklad Crawl. Fifteen businesses will tempt all the senses with chocolate-inspired products. Tickets are $18 per person, which can be obtained on the Chamber's website, and include visits to all participating businesses and a goodie bag.

These are just three of the events happening during Swedish Days, which is scheduled to be held Thursday to Sunday, June 24-27. With the schedule and festival events subject to change, the public is encouraged to continually check the Chamber's website for updates.
