[ARCHIVED] Registration Open For Swedish Days Events

Swedish Days Carnival

The Geneva Chamber of Commerce announced three Swedish Days events that require tickets/registration to attend.

The annual Swedish Days 5K Lopp will commence at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 26. This spirited Scandinavian race encourages runners to show their Swedish pride by dressing in their best blue and yellow gear. Register on the Chamber's website by Thursday, June 10 to guarantee a T-shirt at packet pick-up.

Live music is back at 1 p.m. June 26 with Swedish Days Dala-Palooza. The Chamber, assisted by Kane County Cougars, welcomes ARRA and Trippin’ Billies to Northwestern Medicine Field in Geneva. Elise Flagg Dance Studio and Lisa Thomen are also scheduled to perform. Drinks and food will be available to purchase. No outside drink or food may be brought into the stadium. With concerts being held in the stadium's music garden, patrons should bring their own seats and blankets to enjoy a day of entertainment. Ticket purchasing ($15 per ticket) is being done through the Kane County Cougars ticketing system. Parking will be $5 per vehicle (cash only) that day.

On Sunday, June 27, 15 businesses will tempt all the senses with chocolate-inspired products as part of the new Choklad Crawl. Tickets are $18 per person and can be obtained on the Chamber's website. Patrons also will receive a goodie bag with their ticket purchase.

These are just three of the events happening during Swedish Days, which is scheduled for Thursday to Sunday, June 24-27. With festival events subject to change due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the public is encouraged to check the Chamber's website for updates.
