A City contractor will be lining sanitary sewers at 9 a.m. March 8 on State Street (Route 38) and Wednesday, March 9 on Bennett Street (Route 25) in Geneva.
Eastbound State Street traffic will be limited to one lane March 8 from Fourth to Third streets in the downtown. Work could potentially extend into the evening rush hour. All westbound lanes will remain open.
On March 9, crews will resume lining a Bennett Street sewer from Euclid Avenue to Jefferson Street. Flaggers will be directing traffic, which will be limited to one lane for both directions. Operations originally started March 3 but had to be halted due to equipment failure.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the areas but should exercise caution if they plan to travel through the work zones.
