State Street (Route 38) will be reduced to two lanes, one heading in each direction, Friday, June 3 near Crissey Avenue on Geneva's east side.
The City's Public Works Department will be wrapping up its exterior lane pothole repair project, which started last month, by applying a large patch at the intersection. The highway lanes will be are expected to be closed from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. June 3.
Motorists should expect delays and may want to consider alternate routes such as Fabyan Parkway. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
Pothole patching on East State Street's interior lanes from Route 25 to East Side Drive is tentatively scheduled for this summer or fall.

The Geneva Public Works Department will be patching potholes during the next two weeks that will require lane closures on the East State Street (Route 38) corridor.
Eastbound State Street from Route 25 to East Side Drive will be reduced to one lane from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Thursday, May 23-26 as crews conduct a moving work zone in the curb lane. The roadway will be fully reopened to traffic each afternoon with operations mobilizing again the following day.
Construction will similarly take place along that same stretch of highway in the westbound curb lane from Tuesday to Friday, May 31 - June 3. The schedule is weather permitting.
Pothole patching on East State Street’s interior lanes is anticipated to be completed this summer.
