A block of westbound State Street (Route 38) in downtown Geneva will be reduced to one lane the week of July 11 as a contractor installs new water service for the future BASH (Burger and Sushi House) restaurant.
The outside lane and several parking spaces will be closed just west of Route 31. The project is anticipated to be completed by Friday, July 15, weather permitting. Both lanes of eastbound traffic will remain open.
Signage will be installed on the Fox River bridge notifying motorists of the lane closure. Drivers should expect delays and use caution when driving through the work zone.
For more information on the construction, call the Geneva Public Works Department Water Division at 630-232-1551.
Following the water service installation, BASH is expected to open its new location soon at 124 W. State St.
