[ARCHIVED] Kane County To Start Highway Resurfacing Program

KDOT Road Construction

Motorists are advised to be alert starting the week of April 24 as pavement removal and replacement on portions of seven Kane County highways is scheduled to begin, weather permitting.

Two of the projects will take place in Geneva, including Fabyan Parkway east of Kaneville Road to west of Western Avenue as well as Randall Road from Main Street in Batavia to Keslinger Road.

Construction work hours will be from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday. While the roads will remain open during this work, temporary daily lane closures and/or flaggers will be required to control traffic. The resurfacing process is part of the County's annual maintenance to increase the longevity of the highways. The program will include milling and resurfacing, structure adjustments, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk removal, and pavement marking applications.

The overall seven-highway project has an expected duration of approximately six months to complete, weather permitting.
