Logan Avenue north of Geneva High School will be shut down Monday, April 22 so a contractor can install sanitary sewer and water main connections.
Traffic control signage will be present at the work site notifying motorists of the closure from Center to Union streets. Lincoln Avenue could be used as an alternate route.
South Street
A section of South Street will be closed to through traffic Tuesday, April 30 from Eighth Street to Mead Court as a contractor installs a sanitary sewer connection.
The detour route will direct drivers on the east side of the project to travel:
- East on South Street;
- North on Seventh Street;
- West on James Street
- Southwest on Kaneville Road; and
- South on Burgess Road to South Street.
The detour will be reversed for motorists on the west side of the project area, including those coming from Western Avenue.
Both the Logan Avenue and South Street project schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change. For more information, call the Geneva Public Works Department at 630-232-1501.
