[ARCHIVED] Eat Your Art Out! Gala Returns To Delight The Senses

A night of fine dining combined with exquisite art awaits guests attending the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission’s second annual Eat Your Art Out! gala fundraiser Saturday, March 7.

This unique and exclusive event will be held at the Herrington Inn & Spa’s historic Pump House banquet room, 15 S. River Lane. The Herrington Inn’s Executive Chef Jeff Meyer will design an art-inspired four-course dinner with wine pairings that is bound to delight the senses. The event will start at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour with cash bar and silent auction followed by dinner and live auction from 7 to 9 p.m.

The evening’s featured artists will include:

• Len Bielefeldt – After taking an interest in water colors at age 12, Len paints all genres, exploring and experimenting in various mediums, including oil, water colors and acrylic. Website: www.lenbielefeldt.com

• Suzanne Massion – Suzanne’s work captures the spectacular colors and dramatic shadows at the highway’s edge, across the fence and at a lane’s end. Website: www.spmassion.com

• George Shipperley – Driven by imagination and improvisation, George’s oil pastels stir emotion with an exciting interplay of color. Website: www.georgeshipperley.com

• William Worcester – His works have been described as a “visual poem,” a series of tonal images mixed with subtle impressionism capturing the light as it moves across the landscape. Website: www.williamworcester.com

Featured pieces from each artist will be sent home with generous bidders as the gala culminates with a lively auction hosted by Mayor Kevin Burns. Opportunities for additional art acquisitions will be available with hand-crafted pottery by Mary Ann Diggory, a live art performance piece by Jan Schmuckal and highly-curated fine art at the silent auction table.

Tickets for this boutique event are $125 and can be purchased online at the link below. Seating is limited. Money raised at the event supports the Commission’s efforts to create diverse cultural arts experiences for the Geneva community throughout the year.

The City of Geneva Cultural Arts Commission extends its gratitude to the many talented contributing artists, sponsors and hosts. Learn more about the commission on the City’s website or follow them on Facebook.
