At the request of the Halifax Regional Police, the Geneva Police Department executed a search warrant at 6:20 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Geneva residence of the 23-year old woman that Canadian authorities currently have in custody.

The investigation involves the woman possibly being involved in a “potential significant weapons-related threat” in Canada.

Multiple items were taken from the Geneva home. Canadian authorities have requested the items seized and the woman’s name not be released at this time. The Geneva Police Department will work with the appropriate Canadian authorities to determine the evidentiary value of the items taken from the residence.

As stated previously, the Geneva Police Department’s role throughout this incident has been to assist the Canadian authorities in whatever manner possible.
