The City of Geneva has begun a phone survey throughout the community as part of its ongoing facilities community engagement process.

The phone survey, along with four community meetings scheduled in November, is being done to determine a path forward as the City faces challenges maintaining its aging buildings.

Residents receiving phone calls from 331-248-6533 simply need to answer the call to take the survey. Results will not be tabulated unless the entire phone survey is completed. Residents also may receive a text message encouraging them to take the survey.

Those who missed the phone survey can call 331-248-6533 at any time through Saturday, Nov. 16 to participate at their convenience.

In addition to the phone survey, the City is hosting four meetings to gather public feedback on Geneva’s municipal facilities. The meetings are scheduled for:

• 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Geneva City Hall, 109 James St.;
• 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 at Geneva Fire Station No. 1, 200 East Side Drive;
• 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 at the Geneva Public Works Department, 1800 South St.; and
• 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 – virtual Zoom meeting (register to attend).

Meeting participants will have an opportunity to review and weigh in on potential facility improvements, benefits, and funding level options to help establish a path forward for the City.

Residents who cannot attend any of the meetings can still share their feedback by viewing the facilities community engagement phase 2 presentation on the City’s website and completing an online feedback form, which will remain open through Friday, Nov. 22.
