Geneva residents headed to the polls to cast their ballots for several open seats on the Geneva City Council during the April 1 consolidated election.
The Kane County Clerk’s Office officially certified the election results. Contested races for Geneva City Council seats for Mayor and three aldermanic seats (with vote totals) were:

Uncontested Races
The winners of several uncontested races included William Malecki (Ward 1), Richard Marks (Ward 2), Mark Reinecke (Ward 5, two-year term), and Vicki Kellick (City Clerk). No candidates filed to run for City Treasurer.
All offices carry a four-year term unless otherwise noted.
The newly elected officials are scheduled to take their seats during the Monday, May 5 City Council meeting.
