The City of Geneva was named a 2014 Tree City USA community for the 15 consecutive year by the National Arbor Day Foundation.
Geneva achieved the Tree City USA recognition by meeting the program’s four requirements: a tree board or department, a tree-care ordinance, an annual community forestry budget of at least $2 per capita and an Arbor Day observance or proclamation.
Geneva will once again be celebrating Arbor Day this year by planting 103 parkway trees as part of the City’s spring planting program. Many of the trees were ordered by residents as part of the City’s parkway tree replacement program.
While the spring order deadline has passed, residents can learn more about the City’s program on our website and submit orders for 2016.
