[ARCHIVED] Public Works Crews Addressing Areas Of Standing Water Following June 15 Storm

The Geneva Public Works Department will be working the next few days to clean up the aftermath of the June 15 storm, which dumped more than 3 inches of rain on Geneva.

All streets are open as of June 16, but there are areas of standing water throughout Geneva. Residents needing to report water or sewer issues, can call the Public Works Department at 630-232-1501 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

As a reminder during non-business hours, people should call the Geneva Police Department non-emergency number at 630-232-4736 to report flooding issues during severe storms. The Police Department will then contact the Public Works staff to address the situation. During an emergency, people should always call 911.

Reporting issues through the City's online request tracker system and social media accounts during a severe weather event is not recommended since they are not monitored 24 hours a day.
