A controlled burn of a wetlands area in the Geneva Business Park has been scheduled for Monday, March 9, weather permitting.
The burn would take place on the MWI Property Group's wetlands area, located between Route 38 and Fabyan Parkway along Kautz Road. The City is providing advanced notice to the community that an emergency is not taking place even though visible smoke may be present in the sky.
The Geneva Fire Department has been made aware of the controlled burn. If the forecast is not suitable to conduct the burn, the activity will be rescheduled to the next day with favorable weather conditions.
