Underground electric work will prompt the closure of 25 parking spots on James Street in downtown Geneva for a few days the week of June 29.
The Public Works Electric Division contractor will be installing new underground electric infrastructure to a new transformer in the 200 block of James Street to provide power for shops along Third Street. The street parking spaces on James Street between Second and Third streets, along with several parking lot spaces will be closed during the project.
Work is expected to start June 30 and take one or two days to complete, weather dependent.
