Underground electric work will prompt the closure of 25 parking spots on James Street in downtown Geneva for a few days the week of June 29.
The Geneva Public Works Electric Division's contractor will be installing new underground infrastructure to a new transformer in the 200 block of James Street to provide power for shops along Third Street. The street parking on James between Second and Third streets, along with several parking lot stalls, will be closed during the project.
Work is expected to start June 30 and take one or two days to complete, weather dependent. For more information, call the Geneva Public Works Department Electric Division at 630-232-1503.
