The Illinois Department of Transportation will be reconstructing the intersection of Fabyan Parkway and Kaneville Road starting the week of Aug. 24.
Construction is anticipated to last three months, weather permitting. The improvements will include the installation of:
• Turn lanes,
• Underground utilities,
• Traffic signals,
• Pedestrian signals with a push button, and
• Intersection lighting.
During construction, there will be no access to northeast Kaneville Road from westbound Fabyan Parkway. Eastbound Fabyan also will be closed from southwest Kaneville. Detour routes utilizing Randall Road will be posted throughout the project.
Daytime lane closures may be necessary to accomplish this work. Pedestrians using the trails adjacent to the work zone should use caution. Motorists should expect increased travel times and are advised to take alternate routes to reach their destination.
Questions and concerns should be directed to Patrick VerHalen, Kane County Division of Transportation construction manager, at 630-208-3138.
