The Geneva Film Festival is hosting a special Summer Sampler screening of selected films Saturday, Sept. 12 just steps away from the Festival of the Vine celebration.
A total of 20 independent short films from the past eight seasons of the Geneva Film Festival will be shown at the Geneva Park District’s Playhouse 38, 524 W. State St. The Sampler will be broken down into three viewing blocks (3, 5 and 7 p.m.) with each session featuring a different selection of domestic and international shorts. All films in the first block are rated G, and the others range from G to PG-13.
Tickets are $6.24 per person for a block showing and can be purchased online at www.GenevaFilmFestival.org. Seating capacity is limited to 60 people per session.
The Summer Sampler builds on the momentum and popularity of the annual Geneva Film Festival, which was started by the City of Geneva’s Cultural Arts Commission in 2007. The festival’s mission is to celebrate the art of filmmaking by setting the stage for independent producers and directors to showcase their talent.
