[ARCHIVED] New Online Bill Payment System Offers E-Bill Option

After launching a new website earlier this month, the City has now rolled out a new online utility bill payment system that gives customers a number of additional options regarding their accounts.

The new software platform allows customers to sign up for e-bill services, which will send an email alerting them their bills are ready to be viewed online. Customers can then visit the City’s website at www.geneva.il.us and click the “Online Bill Pay” link.

Once logged on, customers can access their billing history, consumption and usage history and pay by credit card.

The only difference that customers should notice regarding their account is a change from a 12-digit account number to a 13-digit account number. The numbers after the dash have changed from two to three digits.

Customers using online bill payment from their bank’s website need to update their account numbers so payments can be applied correctly.

The City will be offering budget billing in the near future once testing is complete. Customers will be able to choose to pay a set amount each month over the course of a 12-month period to avoid large spikes in the summer or winter months.

If you notice any problems with your bill or have general questions, call the City’s Finance Division at 630-232-0854.
