A controlled burn of a Geneva Business Park wetlands area is scheduled for Monday, March 9, weather permitting.
The burn would take place on the MWI Property Group's wetlands area between Route 38 and Fabyan Parkway along Kautz Road. The City is providing advanced notice to the community that no emergency is taking place, even though smoke may be visible.
The Geneva Fire Department has been notified of the controlled burn. If the forecast is not suitable to conduct the burn, the activity will be rescheduled to the next day with favorable weather conditions.
