The Geneva Police Department is inviting residents to an evening of fun and community connection on Tuesday, Aug. 5, to celebrate National Night Out.
The National Night Out campaign strengthens police-community partnerships and promotes public safety by fostering neighborhood camaraderie. Geneva’s festivities will run from 5 to 9 p.m. at Geneva High School’s Burgess Field, 1482 Gray St.
The event will feature a full lineup of entertainment, including:
- Touch-A-Truck: Get up close with emergency vehicles and public works equipment.
- Squad Car Painting: Help transform a patrol car with colorful handprints.
- Children’s Activities: The football field and track will be full of fun, courtesy of the Geneva Park District.
- Meet Tommy: Visit Geneva’s new police comfort dog.
- Live Drone Demonstrations: See the Police Department technology in action.
- Music, Food & Giveaways: All free while supplies last.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to chat with Geneva Police officers and meet representatives from various community organizations.
Event parking will be available in the Burgess Field and baseball field parking lots.
