AT&T will begin a fiber cable installation project in mid-December for the northern section of the Fisher Farms subdivision in Geneva.
Impacted streets will include, but are not limited to:
- Williamsburg Avenue
- Fisher Drive
- Border Drive
- Fieldstone Drive
- Nelson Drive
Construction will take place within existing public utility easements and the City’s right-of-way, as authorized per AT&T’s franchise agreement with the State of Illinois. AT&T’s contractor, PirTano, will notify impacted residents with door hangers of the upcoming project. The contractor will not need to enter any homes during construction, which will generate noise as crews bore into the ground.
The conduit installation is expected to be completed in late February 2026, weather permitting. Following PirTano's work, AT&T crews will pull fiber cables through the conduits, a process anticipated to continue through July 2026.
Residents should flag any electric fences, sprinklers, etc., and relocate any plants/bushes located within the installation footprint to help prevent construction damage.
PirTano will handle landscape restoration once the fiber installation is complete. The company has requested residents contact them directly regarding restoration concerns. PirTano will not reimburse residents who choose to perform their own restoration.
