The Strategic Plan Advisory Committee (SPAC) is comprised of nine members who are appointed at large by the mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council. The mayor makes such appointments, including vacancies, from a recommendation made by the Strategic Plan Advisory Committee. Each member of the committee shall be appointed for a three-year term.

Meetings

Purpose and Intent

The purpose and intent of the Strategic Plan Advisory Committee are to preserve the life of the Strategic Plan document by prioritizing strategic communal goals, conveying them to City staff and elected officials, and where possible, assisting in their implementation.

In this way, residents can help professional planners and public officials develop vision and goals, and see them realized. SPAC will study, monitor and continue to update the Strategic Plan, and at the same time, encourage citizen input and community-driven projects.
