Since the TIF district's establishment in 2000, the Equalized Assessed Value of the Redevelopment Project Area has significantly increased and more than 60,000 square feet of new commercial construction has been completed, including ALDI, Munchie P's, Dairy Queen, Valley Animal Hospital, CVS Pharmacy and Riganato.

The City is presently working with the State of Illinois on roadway and streetscape improvements designed to improve vehicular and pedestrian safety and to improve the appearance of the corridor. Financial incentives are available to developers and businesses seeking to invest and operate.
