The City is working with Geneva Construction on 23 road resurfacing and drainage projects included in the 2023 street improvement program, which started in August and is expected to be completed in October. Here is the Sept. 29 update:
Completed Work
Since the last update, the contractor has finished:
Binder Application:
- Spring Street; and
- Spring Court.
Drainage Repairs:
- Briar Lane;
- Valley Lane; and
- Ridge Lane.
What Is Ahead
The City announced earlier this week the Williamsburg Avenue paving operations will commence on Sept. 30. Other work that is ongoing or will occur in the coming weeks includes:
Pavement Marking Program
- Bricher Road;
- Williamsburg Avenue; and
- Other miscellaneous locations.
Concrete
Framing work got underway Sept. 28 and pouring will take place the week of Oct. 2 at the following locations:
- Spring Street;
- Spring Court;
- Briar Lane;
- Valley Lane; and
- Ridge Lane
Drainage Improvements
- Study Area No. 7 Fisher Drive near Larsdotter Lane.
Pavement Milling
Operations are scheduled to be completed from Oct. 9 to 13 at:
- Briar Lane;
- Valley Lane; and
- Ridge Lane.
Surface Asphalt
Construction is anticipated to occur from Oct. 9 to 13 at:
- Mead Court;
- Lark Street;
- Spring Street;
- Spring Court;
- Briar Lane;
- Valley Lane; and
- Ridge Lane
Construction is weather-dependent and subject to change.
