Geneva Construction, a City contractor, will be working on the 2025 Street Program, which will include resurfacing 19 residential roadways in the community. Other program projects will include Third Street pavement patching, Hamilton Street parking lot reconstruction, James Street parking reconfiguration, pavement markings and drainage repairs. A map and project locations can be found online.
May 16 Update
All traffic lanes and intersections along South Third Street have been reopened May 16 after a pavement patching project was completed from James to Campbell streets.
Some parking spaces along that one-block stretch were still marked off with cones, but those were expected to be mostly removed by the afternoon.
Parking on the west side of Third Street near the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Niche Restaurant and the U.S. Post Office remained closed for pavement patching. Crews were removing pavement on May 16, and operations were expected to continue into the week of May 19.
The schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change.
